Online Music Store list - Page 7

For those who are looking for Chinese pop music, on regular CDs or SACDs, the 2 etailers below are very good.

Malmusic.com

Their prices are a little higher, but they carry some hard-to-find C-pop SACDs.

Yesasia.com

Very comprehensive selection. Prices are OK.

i can vouch for deepdiscountcds and half.com. i got the Jeff Bucklet "Grace" CD brand new remastered deluxe edition for under $20 shipped from deepdiscountcds. Even better, i got a used excellent copy of "Live at Luther College" with Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds for only 12 bucks shipped. That's a double CD!

For psytrance, goa, tribal, ambient (but mostly psy) I can now recommend Chaos Unlimited based in the UK. I ordered from them 3 weeks ago and my CD's arrived today. For shipping from the UK to New Zealand that's not bad. CD's were in excellent condition, well packaged and included for free in the bag was a copy of Mushroom Magazine, a copy of Upfront magazine and lots of flyers and a sticker - freebies I'd requested. We exchanged some emails and they're a nice, friendly bunch.

CD Universe

www.cduniverse.com

They have a great search screen for finding classical CDs. You can search on: composer, performer, conductor, ensemble, CD label, name of the composition, classical period. I've probably missed a couple of categories.

Thanks, Dan. Good of you!

http://store.mediapitstop.net Great for rare audiophile recordings, but tends to be on the expensive side.

http://caribplanet.homestead.com/ My first stop for Caribbean music.

Just signed up with www.yourmusic.com

Ordered my first CD for $6.42 after tax shipped in 6 days. Not bad.

I'll stick with this for a while to fill in the gaps in my collection ...

I don't think it has been mentioned before, so here it goes:

Saikosounds (Japan) http://www.saikosounds.com
Mostly Psytrance and Progressive Trance, but also Ambient, some Dub, etc.
Besides the latest releases you're able to get some pretty rare CDs, too. They maintain an English and a Japanese interface.
