Relaxed IEM

Hi, I would like to get some IEM in the $100-200 range. Being very sensitive to sound fatigue, I am looking for some extremely relaxed sound (take for IEM). I love my HD595, loved HD600, HD650 were sort of too dark/warm, but otherwise very nice, DT880 gets tiring after an hour or two. I can't stand brighter ones than that. What would you recommend me? I was thinking about the Sleek Audio SA6 or Future Sonics M5/M8, I guess the latter would be nice but I am afraid of the thumping bass as in review. Is there someone with similar requirements? What satisfies you in the IEM world?

Been reading head-fi all night long and finished more confused than before

Gear mentioned in this thread:

Etymotic Research ER6i Isolator Earphones (White)
Sennheiser CX300-S Earbuds (Silver)
Creative Headphones EP-630

IMO, the SA6 might be a good choice for you because you can fine tune them to your preference.

I think Atrio M5, SA6 and RE1 all fit your description and price range.

For Atrio M5, the strong bass doesn't bother me when I am listening to it in low volume. It is when you play music loud where the head shaking effect becomes more apparent.

For SA6, you get to customize the level of treble (and bass of course) to fit your need, but it require more maintenance than the other two options.

For RE1, it will only reveal its full potential when amped. If you use amp most of the time, it will be a good choice.

In conclusion: If used with fast and detail amp, my recommendation goes to RE1. If not, SA6 is a good choice for its warm sweet mid. For ease of use, M5 should be considered.

That's it! I listen at levels most people would call VERY low. How are the other at low levels?

They are all pretty nice on low volume.

hi,i would like to know if you have any problems with the q-jays. I've changed the q-jays a number of times, but each time its either inblalanced or it goes realy soft that you'll have to jack up the volume. Can anyone suggest if there is a problem with the q-jays or if the problem lies with the audio player (laptop/mp3)? thanks

q-Jays ' filter is known for its short life, so it may worth while to change it to see if it is the problem.

TFs are good sq IEMs although easily got sealing lost for quite a few users.

Also hate the strong PVC smell of TF10s. Hope UE didn't make them with such smelly material.

Yes, I ordered from Focalprice. It was shipped the next day (SEP. 26th) after order, but since I selected the free snail mail as shipping method, I still haven't received it yet. Will report back once I got it.

The MSRP might be listed close to US$200 but the actual street price can be close to 1/3 lower.
Would this be from an authorized dealer? If so could anyone point out where I can get the Atrio M5 for this price?
