Passively-modded DAC-AH, by Mazuki

Up for sale is a DAC-Ah with the following mods:

6 volt regulators changed to 8 volts
heatsinks added to DAC chips
output section passively bypassed with 4uF Vitamin Q oil-in-paper capacitors

The DAC-Ah is a non-oversampling DAC that parallels 4 TDAxxxx chips (xxxx is a number, I forget the number you can look it up easily) for each channel. The mods performed here are a classic set of mods that many have deemed to have excellent results. A search of head-fi for terms like "DAC-AH", "mods", "passive", etc... should turn up good information.

The sound is very natural and certainly on the warm side. There is quite a lot of bass. Highs are liquid and gorgeous to my ears, but they will not be to everyone's taste. This matches well with a bright system.

The mods are done by the head-fier Mazuki. In my humble opinion he does some great work.

I would like to get $300 shipped. I have an extra set of Radioshack Gold series interconnects if you want them I'll throw them in. Not that they are anything special but I'm not using them so if you want them they're yours.
