Good God...

Wow, I almost bought his HE60/HEV70 for $2200. He dropped it a whole 100 when I changed my mind. And its weird because for once before buying something, something in my head told me it would be a bad idea. Someone out there's looking out for me

So what part of what this guy's doing does not deserve a permaban? FFS, mods! Do you need us to draw pictures as to how bad news this guy is??

Are you open to bribes? How about we bribe you to permanban him? I'll chip in!

The forsale forum is now truly the wild west. It's officially beyond Caveat Emptor. Mods washing their hands of what goes on there is one thing, and all well and good. But willfully enabling scammers by allowing known offenders to return is something else. Hell, ebay is safer now.

Just whose side are the mods on because it sure as hell ain't the community. Who is the idiot that did not permanban this guy?

Now let's watch ME get banned for saying the frapping obvious. Ban people that don't scam. Unban people who do. Smoooooth. I dare ya.

QFT! I would have to agree. Why in the hell would this person be allowed to return to this community? Who do you have to kill to get banned permanently?

VAT, shipping, PayPal fees, ... ?

Oh my!
He clearly missed out of the general etiquette (or community rules for that matter).

Seriously. I don't see why he don't deserve a permanent ban.
But then again I am not a moderator...

And I thought I had some credit card issues...
I certainly thought his reinstatement was a mistake after Mbriant's post #170. He obviously didn't know his ban was not permanent.

Not only is waddragon still selling, but his feedback is perfect.

Should someone too dumb to read the terms of use of this site get to stay?
Should someone too dumb to read the terms of his credit card get to stick around?
Should a shill be allowed to continue to sell: http://www.head-fi.org/forums/f10/close-332223/

Take all three together, and I'm at a loss myself.

Ah, yes. Ever the drama queen. I don't have time to read this thread again, but exactly how were you personally affected by this guy again?

Sorry things don't happen as soon as you decide they should, but since this guy's feedback has been excellent, his original personna was only temporarily banned while we attempted to find out exactly what this guy has and hasn't done. While the comments and testimonials were being posted in this thread, the temp ban expired. In the meantime, because all of the moderators who have been involved in this issue are not here 24/7, we've been slow in sharing information we've each found out regarding this member/issue. Whenever possible, we do like to discuss these sort of things before permanently banning someone. (Ironically, if we didn't do this, you yourself Plainsong, would have been banned a couple of dozen times by now.) This of course, as Plainsong has pointed out in her own, typical, rude, obnoxious way, is proof that we're open to bribes, are not on the community's side, are idiots, etc., etc. Yes, Plainsong, that's why we're here, to cause the community as much grief as possible.

I hope this makes you happy Plainsong, even though it's obvious you rarely are happy about anything.

Anyway, yes, he'll be banned permanently.

No problem. In fact, since you've gotten away with it so, so many times in the past, and since you obviously prefer we act quickly and decisively, the very next time you attack another member in the snotty, belligerent way you always do, you can count on it. Shouldn't be a long wait.

So you can do no better than attack me then? That's the best argument you have? Classy, smooth, the definition of professionalism.

And I'm not even the only one questioning the brainiac who made this judgement call, but I'm the one you go after.

You are well and truly playing yourself. Bias much?

Who wants to be a part of such a community? The direction we're going here, enabling scammers, attacking people who don't agree with that - it's well and truly repugnant. Certainly this isn't the direction Jude intended? At least I hope not. Yuck. I wonder if he'd been banned at all if not for the protests of the remaining community who still try to keep the place a glimmer of what it once was.

You well and truly act as your avatar. That's sad.

Thank you. It's one thing to overlook the condescending nature of some member's post now and then. It's impossible to do (even with the ignore feature, since people quote) when someone insists on posting in such a way all the time.

I've never mingled into these type of discussions -- mainly because they don't lead to anything but a few members being pissed off over nothing -- but this is just inane. Something about a pot, a kettle and the color black. Except that the pot in this case is far worse than the kettle. All the time.

Um...If I may raise a practical question: are we playing "Stonehedge" tomorrow night?

glad I saw this thread! I'm in the middle of deal with him for his HE60/HEV90 combo. He said he is selling for what he paid for to cantsleep. If this is true, then I guess the deal is OK???

....
caveat emptor
If it were me, I wouldn't trust the guy as far as I could throw him. Scratch that...I could probably throw him pretty far. I wouldn't trust him but again, that's me. If you feel comfortable dealing with him, then by all means....

I am in Bay Area as well. We agreed a local pick up so the items should be ok. The only thing is the price then. I don't mind people make a little profit on used market, but honesty is another issue.

Now his original FS post has been removed by Moderator. Makes me a little wary.....
