Too much coincidence to be true... - Page 2

The guy is a student in Berkley and he's smart enough to spent $7000 on headphones in one month?
At least he actually owns the items, unlike some other people who post FS threads.

yup. We've seen WAY too much of that lately...and now this....

If someone tried to flip one of my items for profit, and I knew where they lived, I would make a visit.

Yeah, and it sounds like the CC company owns him!

Without wanting to sound alarmist, there is a downward spiral happening isn't there?

Ban him (both/all accounts), and block out his IP. Grrrr...

^(gz76)

Dude, the credit card company is really gonna own him now that he is going to have tremendous resistance to selling these items for what he paid. On ebay, I don't think the HP-1000 will fetch more than what he paid. Consider that if you flood the market, nobody will pay the exorbitant prices anymore.

I'm a little pissed that he has a lot of HP's hostage.

I still can't believe it.

That's the worst scam I've seen.

I didn't loose money, but I'm just deceived in what the Head-Fi community has become.

I posted this in another ML forum:

You know, after the latest chicanery and such, I think the requirements should be 750 posts (1/2 Supremus) and six months (1/2 year). If you've noticed, most of the foolios who have been deceptive did not meet those requirements. And the issues with established members were of a different nature.
I think the mods are going to be even more cautious now; I'm not accusing them of being lackadaisical, however. It's kind of a Spinal Tap situation... the mods are at 10, and we need them to go to 11.

Sounds good to me aaron313. Sure to piss a lot of people off tho so will probably never happen.

If I were a rich man, I would buy the HP2s and give them back to Larry.

I feel in this way too.

telling about credit card problem caused him to sell all of those cans is absurd.

I can't believe people would spend $7000 on brand-new credit card without reading all of agreement.

that's just the worst excuse I've heard.

You know the worst?

If he would have told me, I would have refunded him and taken back the headphones, if it was only for cash problems. If it's to help people out, I'm always open.

Oh how interesting, he used both accounts to offer me on my O2 system a month or two back. One lower and one higher price, then cancelling out of the higher price presumably try to get me to sell. Sneeky.

Still sold it to him though since he was the only buyer willing to pay for the whole system. Waited a few days, so I didn't really get persuaded into it, it was still the best offer.
