Too much coincidence to be true...

Hello,

I'm sorry to have to come down to this, but I think there's a member here that has a double account, buying and selling directly on Head-Fi to make profit. I have also some suspicion that he might be someone else that was banned here on Head-Fi and debanned.

What should I do? I sent a message to that seller/buyer to check things out, but I just made him a deal for some headphones that he told me they were for his moms, and now they're for sale already. He didn't had them for a week.

I'm pretty pissed off right now at that person.

Double account. Never been that low on Head-Fi.

I'll be interested to see how this plays out.

As long as he actually delivers the goods I don't see the problem. I'm thinking of selling a pair of headphones I bought from here. I also just bought a pair of headphones from here, that had previously been sold here.

Supply and demand, why fight the economics. I just can't see why you would be annoyed if you agreed to the price that you paid and where previously satisfied.

You've got it all wrong, my man.

The issue is that the buyer is flipping items with two accounts. This is a ban-able offense X2. Neither flipping NOR double accounts are allowed on Head-Fi. It is unethical to the extreme. Now, I would never personally out someone, since I don't want anyone to have a vendetta against me, so this is a bold move.

So he's buying with one account and selling with the other?

yes. At inflated price.

@OP you might need to PM the mods... if he has multiple accounts, mods should be able to tell from his ip address.

Would someone get perm-banned for this first offense?

Yea... pretty much, dude.

^^

Yes, but if he's buying for he sole purpose of pushing the item onto another buyer at a higher price, i.e. for profit, then it's ban-able. It's just not good etiquette for a forum user.

BTW... it should be "untrue"

The nice thing is that we still have free will about what to buy, so the market price won't continue to shoot through the roof, necessarily.

To tell you honestly . Yes Lucky_star is also my second account. However, I didn't deceive u. I won't sell them if my credit card company suddenly charge fee for me.
If I trick you, I won't admit you that I am also lucky_star
two months ago I applied for new credit card to be able to buy your grado phone and other good phone. When i read the advertisement , they tell me that I will have 0% until May 2009. However, 1 week ago I check my account online and find out that I suddenly was charged fee and that make my balance overlimit(second fee). I was so shocking and called the credit card company(Citi card). They told me that I only qualify for 0% if I make some balance transfer from other cards to this card. Wow, I didn't see that requirement when I read the advertisement.

Right now I need to sell most of my phones in order to have enough fund to free up the card and won't never use that card anymore. I use 7000$ for that card(for headphones) . The deadline is July 1st . If I can't pay before that day, they will charge me 10.32% . That's a lot.
Therefore I have no chance but have to sell your phones .

If I tricked you, I wouldn't sell the phones right away and keep it until you forget me , right??

plz forgive me and understand my problem

Yeah CREDIT CARD RIGHT!?!!

This is total bull, and is illogical. If you have a credit card issue, and need a quick sale, then what should you do? SELL FOR WHAT YOU PAID, maybe LESS!

I believe the credit card issue is true, but there is no doubt this guy is trying to sell for a hefty profit. It's VERY obvious.

yup. let the mods know about this guy.
