AKG K702 - imminent release!

All the waiting and worrying is (just about) over. The fabled K702 is going to be debuted at the Infocomm 08 show this weekend.

If you're going to Las Vegas, why not stop by, take a few pics, and share them here?

They're supposed to be a different color (red), have a removable cable (like the HD650)...and sound basically the same as the K701. They'll be available for sale around early August.

Red? Hmmmm

While I loved the K701 sound. I definately think it could be improved upon and hope they don't sound too much like the K701.

I can't wait. I have no plans to buy the k-702 I just want to buy used K-701s on the cheap.

Koss KSC115 for me!

I really don't believe that the K702 will be exactly the same apart form colour and cable, though. There must be something more. Same drivers, maybe, but improved frame, or improved pads, etc.

It will be just a face-lifting. AKG lost the opportunity to improve the weakness of K701.

^ which is why the K1000 is still the best regardless of what AKG calls their flagship
