Both times it was financial.

Still have my LA-7000, after 4.5 years and I'll NEVER sell them. Denon should bring these back, as even in stock form they are worth $600-800.

I'm sure if Denon had the choice they would. Too bad the replacement they found (D7100) is so dismal.

It's like they lost their supplier, and in a long arduous product meeting to find a replacement, someone finally said "Well, I mean come on. They're only $1200 headphones, how hard can they be to make?"

To be honest, I had LCD2.2 and D7000, and decided to keep D7000. :)

LCD2.2 to me sounded too dark, the bass is to die for but lost scoring in the ergonomic department, ..

I am getting T5p, and will decide again between the D7000 and T5p.

A financial pinch was the only reason I got rid of my D7000 @ 1,809 hrs.  There were good times still ahead!

I'm the one who bought your D7000s a while back.  Ended up selling them after a while.  After a few weeks I missed them and bought another pair (my third now).  They're totally stock though, do miss the Zeus cable.

:deadhorse:

BUT...

:D I told you I was prepared to buy them back as early as a month. And sent a couple of follow-up emails to boot! You mean you didn't take me seriously?  :normal_smile :

No I didn't, to be completely honest. I'm happy I sold them though, I found a brand new pair for $600 after that. They were in pretty heavily worn/used as well, no worries though, I very much enjoyed my time with that pair of D7Ks and the awesome cable!

:( I am shocked and saddened. That my pre-sale words fell on deaf ears. Nothing against you personally, though I made it pretty clear I wanted to buy them back IF I sold them to you. I can always get a pair - I told you they were sentimental and I wanted a chance to buy THAT pair back should you decide to move them.

No worries, I would never share our saved transcripts publicly. Glad you enjoyed them...

I'd be really ticked off.  But you tell him no worries after he says he's glad he sold them.  You're a better man than me Charlie Brown.
