Some guy on Craigslist has no clue what he has. He has a new sealed box Denon D7000 going for $795. I'm not looking to buy now, just thought it was interesting.. Anyways, is the D7000 bassy? Or is that more the D5000?

I have the D2Ks which have the same drivers as the D5Ks.  The bass is really loose.  I also have the D7Ks.  The bass is a little more controlled; mids and highs are better.  If you can, get the D7Ks; you'll enjoy them better.

Good to know. Thanks. Now to research the D7Ks!

D2K/5K have more mid-bass, D7K has the sub-bass.

This was my attraction to the D7K, a dialed-down mid-bass that gets out of the way.

Try the TH-600, even more linear than the D7K in terms of bass. smily_headphones1.gif

I have been quietly considering the '900' or '600', if I tire from eating Soup for One.

I've read this a few times now where people mention a new sealed D7000.

Mine came in the Denon box, with the plastic cover slid over it, but nothing was sealed. Is this how others' were packaged, or did I get an open box? (Note; I bought them new from an authorized dealer)
