Denon AH-D7000 - Page 425

I own them, they're my primary headphones. None of my roommates can hear my music at all, but I can definitely hear them.

Been reading the posts regarding leakage all week so I decide to test it for my peace of mind. I'm currently listening to Pink Floyd - Animals album and my wife and daughter are in the family room beside me and I can hear them talking but cannot understand their words (more like a muffle sound). When asking them they say they can hear some noise but on the loud passage only.

If using my Shure SRH-940 I cannot hear any incoming noise neither of them.

This was my general thoughts on noise leakage/isolation as well. My experience was that the D7000 do leak sound. Not to the extent of any open headphone, but they do leak noise to some degree. They also don't isolate very well, unless you have a very good seal. This just isn't one of the Denons strengths is all.

I think everyone's leakage is all different because it is highly dependent on your music volume. So maybe there is the confusion

I'm satisfied with what my Zeus cable has brought to the table. What cable did you treat yourself to?

i just added a CABLEDYNE Silver Reference USB cable to the fold, the denon went from a "good"  to a WOW,

( out goes my LAT n Furutech GT2... :P )

clarity didnt just improve, it went UPPPP...

soundstage stretched out in all directions..

a sense of "being there", the timbre of each instrument more "life like"...i just HEAR MORE.

Gonna check out more of their cables...see how much more i can squeeze out from the d7000.

re-listening tol my cd collection again..

am now life on stage with Barry Gibb in ONE NIGHT ONLY. :P
