Oh I'm sure it sounds less like a D7000 and more like a HD800 now that you're using it's cable! rolleyes.gif

I just ordered HD 800's (finally).

I'm going to decide once and for all if the D7000's are going to stay forever or be replaced by the Sennheisers.

One issue I have is my tinnitus has gotten worse recently and I may decide that "high-end" headphones are just a waste on me. If thats the case, I will return the Sennheisers and the sell the Denons, and buy a pair of HD 600's - just to have.

Wish me luck!

hope you enjoy the HD800...personally I don't.  The HD600 in the stable isn't a bad thing and I've grown to like them quite a bit.  Anyways good luck with that and let us know what you think.  IMO HD800>HD600 technically but sonically I prefer the HD600.

I have been going back and forth on whether to keep 2 headphones or just one. I just can't see giving up either the lcd-2's or d7000's.

I love both for different reasons and would hate to sell one regret it, and end up re-buying another set and losing a bunch of money on that decision. Just not worth it.

Keep the D700's bass and add HD800 mid+high would be the holy grail!  The search is on...

Well that's impossible because it doesn't work like that.

All is not lost! Isn't travel and adventure more exciting than the destination?

Just found out my old desktop humidor is just about the same size as the D7000 box (a bit shorter though). I may have a new (and much more classy) headphone storage box. :D
