Yea you have to ask for a lower price, you can get them much cheaper than advertised just by asking.

Oh and air shipping was free to of course

More, but not by much.

edit: at least that was the price quoted via e-mail. Maybe the price has gone up very recently, given the out-of-stock-just-about-everywhere-else situation.

I should have checked with a sponsor first. I guess I was overwhelmed with the quick availability lure...
I am definitely NOT afraid to ask for a lower price. Oh well mine are supposed to be here next week, like probably Monday so I am sittin on pins and needles.

140 weeks is a more like a BAAAAAAAAA (goes on forever) M!

By that point Sennheiser will have released a new headphone and Denon will have the D9000

What is the going price for the AH-D7000 from an authorized dealer?

I think I'm going to put in an order with JR. Hoping it's worth the upgrade from my AD700/HD280/V600.

Question: Does head-fi offer any debt consolidation programs?

J&R has now changed the price back to $999

j2kei...Call Headroom tell them the deal and see what their best price is. Plus you will probably get the 'phones sooner that way.

To all Denon lovers,

You have to listen to the "Batman - The Dark Knight" Soundtrack with your Denons.

There's a part in the first track (Why so Serious?) at just around 3:30 where my eardrums feel like they are being sucked in and out. It's crazy. That part of the song is all bass. The D5000 (and I assume the other Denons as well) can really pump out the bass.

Wow!! Actually looks like they broke the dealer agreement with Denon. Wonder how long that will last before they get shut off from the product.

As someone else mentioned, the price has been changed at J&R already.
