Basically,

You add resistance and/or capacitance until you get the sound that you would like.

They're just total beasts to amp, I've never been able to get sub bass out of min without my amp clipping. Understandable since there's a 45mm woofer and a 32mm tweeter in each side, which is pretty crazy

If you really want to improve these things pull off the volume and tone controls on each side and spray some deoxit in the controls. I had to rotate the knobs at least a couple hundred times to get all the scratchiness out after that, but it made them sound a hell of a lot better, definitely worth it.

I've got a pair of these that I'm trying to get into, but I can't figure out how to get these knobs off! Helpful hints would be greatly appreciated. Also, the left treble is either out or in need of cleaning or something I haven't even the slightest clue about. It may be obvious at this point, but I am new to this. Got these off craigslist on an impulse for 10 bucks, researched them and learned that they are actually quite good for what they are. So now i'd like to make them as good as new!
