Edit: Indeed it is!
That took them a long time. But finally its here...

..and half the price of the previous model.

That's it? Aside from the 3G+GPS (which I never used on my N95) there's nothing there that screams "upgrade to your iPhone to 3G!" to me... Step backwards in the looks department too with the plastic back (though it is for practical reasons(GPS)). The price is very good though. I'm happy with the 2.0 firmware though... Finally, 3rd party apps without having to jailbreak my phone.

Still no 32GB version....

I said in the other thread the big thing to care about is the SDK, everyone knew the 3G was coming and the second good guess was GPS. still is APPLE going to have a press conference around July 11th? if they do they might release a higher up model then the 16GB...maybe i am just hoping they do. I don't see the top end iPhone being $300 though, something has to be higher..takes the HALO affect out of the product now..

I'm buying one. Wish they kept the aluminum housing, but plastic should be OK. The price is good, too, and I love that it's going international.

A side benefit is that I'll pass the current one along to my father. Mom already has an iPhone, but Dad thinks they're too expensive and decadent. Though you can tell he really wants one.

*Yawn*

If the iPhone was carried by Verizon with a $30 unlimited internet and texting plan, then it would be interesting.

Hmmm....If I upgrade can I just move my current iPhone sim card into the 3G one? I don't want to sign yet another contract with ATT.

/me would like if Apple announced the Norwegian price as well, and not just the US one... Grrr!

Looks interesting. The $200 price point is a big deal.

July 11th...hopefully the Blackberry Bold will be out by then so I can bash them together and see which one wins.

Still no 32GB version! WTF! It will require a new 2 yr contract with ATT even if you already have ATT.

You can walk into an att store and buy one without a contract. The "contract" you have to do thru itunes....so Its still $199 out the door. I think they need to explain this better. It's confusing.
