I am wondering about this machine as well. There are some refurbished units for about $1,250 which seems like a good discount.

I think the first post need an update. It was last edited in mid August.
I for one no longer own a Electrocompaniet ECD1, but moved on to the Red Wine Audio Isabellina two months back.
