I put Beyer velour pads on my Panasonic RP-HTX7's - Page 2

I just put Sony MDR-7506 / MDR-V6 pleather pads on my panasonics. I don't think they are orginal Sony parts because they were very cheap, but they are a lot better than the original ones. Since they are slightly larger than the originals I didn't use the plastic ring the originals are mounted on. I pulled the new pads simply over the edge of the cans, like it is done with AKG pads. Because of the black edge of the cans it doesn't look bad at all. Of course they move a little, but they fit well enough. The Sony pads come with a foam pad to cover the driver, and thus the sound slightly changes, but IMHO for the better.

The new pads are a lot more comfortable than the original ones. Of course, they are made of cheap material as well and do not compare to pads of some expensive phones, but for a cheap headphone like the panasonic they are perfect.

Sweet Spot,

I just wanted to show my appreciation as I found this thread and replaced my Panasonic pads with the Beyer's.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.
