Art DI/O combined with tube amp?

I'm interested in getting a Art DI/O tube DAC but am unsure as to what it will sound like when combined with my tube headphone amp. I understand the tubes in the DAC add a certain warmth to the sound, but what will happen when the signal passes throught the tubes in my headphone amp? The amp is a homemade OTL tube amp based on Morgan Jones' design (similar to the Earmax).

The ART DI/O's d/a is completely solid state... and it works well with my MG Head... so... yeah... no 'too much' tube to worry about, unless you do a d/a/a/d loop...

What you should worry about more is if your amp can handle a 7V input, rather than the more stantdard 2V... otherwise you will need attenuating cables (check http://www.head-fi.org/forums/showth...&threadid=3411 for diy instructions)

I am using the dio as a DAC with the X-Cans V2, the DAC has a very clean sound, so you need not worry about it being too warm at all.
