This is a fine unit and an upgrade to the M-Audio Transit Transport because
  • No drain on your Mac/PC - the USB powered via a wall-wart separate from your PC/Mac.
  • SPDIF Coaxial Output to DAC - so you can use cables that resist interference.
  • Software with more features than Transit - Audiophile USBdrivers display the streaming rate as it occurs-- 96kHz, 44.1kHz whereas the Transit drivers only allows you to set the sampling rate-- it is not displayed as music is playing. This can help with trouble-shooting if you use multiple audio players (e.g., iTunes, Foobar, Winamp).
  • It costs more! - alright cost is not indicative of an upgrade
Most wonder why you would need any other transport.

bump - I know if someone else was selling a M-Audio Audiophile USB then I would buy it.

Better hurry I might just buy this from myself!

bump - I bought it from myself but realized I was trying to sell it.... so it's still available

I am only out the paypal fees I paid when I bought it from myself.

For two days I put paypal into a circular loop that could have toppled the very world... but... o'well that's another story...
