I'm not sure about the UE's because last time I tired my friends UE Super. Fi 3's I could not get a good fit at all just me or.... The Head-Direct RE2s need an amp to be able to get their money's worth. I am not planning on getting an amp anytime in my life. But the suggestion is appricated =] anymore? what about the UM1's? Shure SE210? I was going to buy the Shure's but decided to get more input before going down that route.

The Head-Direct RE2 doesn't need an amp to perform good, you are mixing with it's older brother, the Head-Direct RE1.

Philips SHE9850 Single Armature

has anyone tested out the new Philips SHE9850 Armature IEM which is $89 shipped from Amazon.com
it say on the spec that it has 12 Ohm@1KHz Impedance and 115db Sensitivity
what does this mean. how is this going to match ipod touch headphone out
which has a 32 Ohm output does this mean iam going to get more or less bass
output?
thanks...

good seal is dependent on your ear shape/size and what tip you use. Etymotics give the most isolation from my experience but you have to try them opinions vary a lot on fit/getting a good seal. To be honest most true iems give plenty of isolation anyway (not canalphones which are kind of iems but not exactly).
