just had to look up homely for a bit. i guess it means something different in usa.

english: simple but cozy and comfortable, as in one's own home.

never heard it other than that. don't see how that is bad at all

From Webster's Dictionary, homely - plain or unattractive in appearance

You may be thinking of "Homey" as a cozy home, but
"Homely" is unattractive.

he said Sh**...lol

Although Veronica has an Audio Engineering degree, she is too geeky to be hot imho.

Where is Patrick from? Sounds like he has a northeastern usa accent or something. He pronounces alot of product names differently than i do.

It's always amusing to see the Headphone fanboys get all worked up when a slightly above average looking woman puts on a pair of Full sized phones...

Can somebody answer me some questions ? My english isnt so good, so I couldnt understand some things that he said. From what i could recognized I understanded that AMP is for better output, so you can hear more things, which were before "hidden". And maybe when you have headphones with big impedance you can put them louder. Am I right ? And about DACs I couldnt understand anything. They are Digital to analof convertors of course, but why would somebody used external DAC when he would have internal DAC in MP3 or i dont know what ... ? ? Thanks for response ...BTW my first post here

Because the small DACs in MP3 players and soundcards are generally bad quality, they do not make a good job of accurate digital to analog conversion. And ideally amplifier is supposed to make weak line-level signal that DAC outputs louder with adding as little noise and coloration as possible, ideally none. And it should also provide enough voltage and current fast enough for the headphone (or speakers in case of speaker amps) so it would play properly without distortion and muddy sound and show the details its capable off.

And welcome to Head-Fi!

Thanks ...but (maybe little newbie question ) If you have an MP3 player how will you use DAC ? Because you have only one output (earphone jack) and there it is already in analog format (Converted by DAC in mp3).

You cant. Only souncards, CD players and such with digital output (which bypasses its own digital-analog conversion) can use external DAC device.
