I've been playing around with various different cables for some time now, and i'm starting to think that my ears are just plain broken. I can hear a significant difference between powercables and headphone cables, yet, i can't tell differences between interconnects. My theory is either the melos has made as many compromises as i'm thinking (The PVC wire in the circut path), or, my ears are just plain broken. Any theories on this?

What's your source?
What kind of interconnects have you tried. Consider pitting your better interconnects against those stock Red and White ones and also try to see if you can get a high end/expensive interconnect to try out. Sometimes it's not that easy to distinguish if your interconnects are already good enough or your system isn't revealing enough.

I'm using a NS500V, and an art Di/O. I played around with some high-end cables at the chicago meet, including nites, and the only one that made an audible difference to me were the neutral referances
