The Fifth Head-Fi Sydney Meet - Saturday 21st June - Page 7

I'm in! No new equipment since last year though. I could probably bring my Musiland MD10 and AKG K340. The Darkvoice is a tad troublesome to move around so I guess I'll leave that at home

Hey tz3ling, was it you who brought the MD10 and Darkvoice last year??

It was - so what do I need to do to convince you to bring it along again??? Very curious to compare it to my DAC1 USB internal headphone amp.

I bought a fairly old pair with the buttons I don't care for the new look
post #94 of 338
well a lot of people agree that the old pair are better than the new one :] Generally the older the better just in case you didn't know

Great, I'll bring along my AKG K501's and Prehead MkII se. Thanks to Jason for providing the venue.
Can't wait to hear some Stax for the first time!

Haha yeh How fugly are the new ones btw...I really don't like the new font on the cups...

I like both actually But yea the font is inconsistent though, I remember seeing some really bad ones, and some really nice ones as well

Yeah, sure. I'll try. I don't have a car so lugging it around isn't the easiest thing to do =P Ahhh new DAC! Nice.

How come I don't see any cd players in the list? I've got some cds which people might like. Soundtracks and stuff. LOTR, Blood+, Devil May Cry Anime, Baccano, FFVII: AC, Darker Than Black.

Got some Nine Inch Nails, Bjork, Imogen Heap, Metallica - S&M, U2 - 18 Singles, Amy Winehouse, Portishead - Dummy, Radiohead if anyone's interested to have a listen to those.

And for Japanese music..
Dir en Grey, Girugamesh, Yui, Mika Nakashima, Miyavi, Buck-Tick, Flow, Akeboshi.

Almost forgot, Dave Gahan's Hourglass

Depending on suburb I could swing by and pick you up if it helps - I agree that it can't be fun to go strolling with!

Because the audiophille community has moved on to bigger and better things

But we can always rip these 'CDs' you speak of into lossless audio for you to enjoy...
