Ok, so when those guys came up with Brilliant Pebbles, that was playing into the fiscally responsible nature of audiophiles? I would say that audiophiles make mostly informed decisions, but honestly, what about some of those ridiculous tweaks? There are some audiophiles, not necessarily HFers, that DO waste money. Whenever you spend a good amount of money, on a whim, on something that does not work as advertised, that is what I would call a waste.
Back on topic:
I think there are good arguments both for and against making CanJam permanent. But the main argument against it is that those who plan the meet should get to choose the title.
