Baltimore/DC Regional Meet August 2, 2008 - Page 5

I think I could make the 2nd, provided I can get off work (part-time sucks, in this respect).

Either location would probably be fine for me.

I'm pretty excited as I've never actually made it to a meet, and have recently re-dedicated myself to getting back on the "headphone trade".

How long is the drive I haven't done it in 20 years or am I better off flying in?
vamoose bus is 3.5 or 4 hours to my house from the street by penn station & cost $25 cash & shows dvd movies. check the schedule at vamoosebus.com to bethesda.

amtrak puts you downtown or out in the boonies & is about 3 hrs.

driving is about 3.5 hrs if you haul buns & have ezpass. gas & tolls add up.

do you ever think about anything other than beer?

Ok, the first post is now a roll call. Please sign up as early as possible, and indicate how likely you are to make it. I'd like to have a nice big space if possible, but I can't commit to another big room if it looks like no one is showing up. So far we're at 14 potential people, which is a good start. For early arrivers, I'm sure we can come up with something entertaining to do friday night.

OK, I'm now about 95% certain that I can make it.

I don't really have much gear, but I guess I'll bring my SR80s and the HD280Pros, in case anyone with über cans would like to reassure themselves of just how awesome their equipment is.

Mostly, I'll just be listening to everyone else's stuff.

a lot of times low end gear gets more interest than high end gear. That way people can try things they might buy, if they're new.

Just moved to Baltimore from Utah. Have been out of the loop for a bit trying looking to graduate from grad school.

Count me in. Don't have much stuff though. Have an HD580 with a 650 cable and hopefully an SE530PTH. Will check your stuff out and then work 12 hours a day trying to afford that.

Oh! Are we are counting DAPs too? I'll bring my Cowon D2 and Vaio VGF AP1L (old mp3 player ) then.

Edit: Has a place been decided yet?

I got a 2 br suite. It's almost 700 sq ft. That should be more than big enough, I'd think. There should be more than enough room for 20-30 people, plus a quiet room for open headphones. We'll just be creative. And this way, we could do food and beverages for the after party and pre parties.

I should be able to make it. Might need someone to put me up for a night

I might be able to make it. Do you know what time it might be?
