home stereo system jack vs computer/ipod jack

wondering how a normal home stereoe headphone jack is compared to computer/ipod jack..

will it be able to deliver more to the headphone? Also talking about standard micro system stuff or like mid-high end Microsystems.. I.e no racks etc

At the moment i only have my computer to drive my headphones and don't have any of hi-fi system anymore since i move around allot and can't take it with me.. However i'm thinking of just getting a decent Microsystem that i can use home because i really don't have any types of speakers at home anymore..

So wondering if the headphone 3.5mm jack would rive the headphones better or indifferent to computer 3.5?

probably not; i hear most modern stereo amps have low quality headphone jacks, if one at all.
