Ultrasone HFI-700 or new HFI-780

I recently ordered a pair of used Ultrasone HFI-700s on Amazon for 160.00 shipped. This was all before I knew RMC offered thew version (HFI-780s), which I've read all about in the monstrous thread, for 200.00 shipped. I'm wondering if it will be worth it for me to return the 700s and spend the extra 40 dollars for the new 780s. I realize theres the difference between a new product and used here, but I don't know if that will matter all that much seeing as it seems ultrasone isn't even offering service on products in the US that would be covered by a warranty. So how much difference is there between the old 700s and the new 780s?
-thanks guys

There is some discussion in the link below about benefits of HFI-700 vs 780:

That should help if you start with post #1806 and newer.

Dear friend,

I feel your pain... Sorry about your wallet as well. It all depends if you want more bass and mids. If you wish those to be more prominent, go ahead and grab those 780's. I own the 700's and don't get me wrong, they are great. If you don't want to get the 780's it is alright to stick with those 700's.
