Unsuitable proband IMO. MS1 and MS Pro only, maybe HF1 and HF2.

Why? Too much bass? Easy to knock it down with felt in the distancer. Or is the 'ssandro doped driver the key to the whole nod? I thought other modded SRs with success. The HF2 is probably using the 'ssandro driver though, AFAIK.

Eh, if I don;y like it, I'll sell off the bowls and give away the 125s to a friend. Only have $35 invested in them, ATM.

YAY!!.
After 1 week of **** ups i finally finished my distancers,
i always bought the wrong hole saws.
I made mine out of MDF
FYI when it says 40mm hole....thats the outer diameter...so if your attempting to make say a 52mm hole...u need at least a 56mm saw to account for the width of the metal teeth -.-'

still need to drill holes and felt them.

How much were these websites selling distancers when you could still buy them?

50€ plus shipping.

I'm still awwed by my MS1000!! I'm so happy I ran into them on these forums. I haven't heard any Grado's yet (no, not even MS1, I transformed them almost right away when I got them), so I'm very curious about how they sound. But I'm afraid I can't live with their low comfort.
But for now, these are about as perfect it will (ever?) get for me. Running them out of my Corda Opera with 120Ω added impedance, they also provide a very enjoyable amount of bass (a tad more than the otherwise have, running them out of amps -or portable mp3-players for that matter- with zero impedance).
I don't think I'll ever get MS Ultimate, they would sound very nice and all, but for me, I don't think I could justify buying them - with them being $600 more expensive than MS1000 and with the small improvement in sound quality. But who knows, right?

I already feel something tickling...

You remind me of myself back in 2005. I had the DT770'250 back then and thought that was the perfect gear for my listening habits...

...but then that ugly little MS1 crossed my way and I had to learn that I was completely misequipped with the boombeyer sound.

what wood do you guys usually use?
im finding MDF is dense and kinda strong but tends to break apart like shale after its cut.(exagerration)

heres my semi finished ones,
is it neccessary to put the top felt layer on? does it affect sound much?
A hard wood like oak or walnut will give you a much more structurally sound distancer, but those woods are also harder to work with than mdf

Sorry, I forgot to ask. Does this price include felt and the holes drilled?

Could someone contact Jeremy (fatman711) and inquire as to what's going on with the distancers?
