yes I think you might be wrong. It would be OK if you're just using a portable device, but add other goodies into the chain (amp, portable v-cap and decent IEM or headphones) and I think you're going to notice the difference. Maybe not "night and day" difference but subtle nuances to the music.

Just my opinion though

I have to say, the interface on the ipod touch is excellent, and it does look quiet nice in the flesh.

The sound quality wasn't exactly stellar, but wasn't complete rubbish either. I think its good enough to satisfy most people out there, with only the hardcore audiophiles finding enough to nitpick.

And I think it's way too over priced.
