THE FIRST FREQ SHOW REVIEW (Music Makers Triple Driver model from The FreQ) - w/PICS - Page 6

The connectors on the cables look very similar to the ones used by the Etymotic ER-4 (looking at my pair I can see a little bit of the connectors as well).

That's great mcramen.

The build and look of the new FreQs is worth $100 alone! They are really turning into working pieces of art.

The solid white reminds me of ivory and the clear of an ice cube

Also, that scarlet red is amazing ::drool::

The way the pin pops out is still worrisome though. I imagine that since the connector pops out so much, any amount of torque force by say a book or box in a backpack may cause the pin to snap.

i love how after a few post, it has turned into a flame thread.
neways, pretty fun review, im really surprised by the new FreQ quality, looks really nice.

I wonder how much this differs from the SuperFreQs...

Same here - like you, first thing I noticed was the gold pins that showed in the right IEM. Maybe it would be OK anyway?

The problem isn't actually about the pin showing but rather that the connector doesn't have a recessed area to go into like UE customs. Therefore, if you push the connector upwards, all the force will be applied to the pins instead of on the shell itself. Over time, the pin will give since they are encased in a little bit of plastic.

Here is an example of how far the UE one goes in:

Also, about this thread, I think someone should start a new one with better pics when they get theirs. This thread started off on the wrong foot, and some people are still disgruntled, lol.

I call this 'Freq/Freak' Color... or Crazy color.

Haven't got a chance to put these on yet, so pictures only.

Oh wow, if I had seen those pics 2 months ago, I probably would not have livewires right now... very nice!

I see what people mean by the plug having no recession now...

Also, is it just me, or does that not look like a snug fit?

Hard to tell by looking at pictures - they could fit perfect and would still look that way ...

Ultimate Ears still has the upper hand in build and aesthetics I just love the way a UE custom looks when it's in your ear - nice, flat, and clean.

it fits pretty tight. but the pic looks like it's little loose because of flash.

I really cant tell how it sounds like, and comparable to other headphone.

and one thing bothers me now is... swelling from wisdom tooth extraction...

As soon as I get recovered I will give some comments
