Kind of off topic, but I need a recommendation for a camera bag. I'd like a shoulder style bag, and it needs to hold a Digital rebel xti with battery grip and attached 28-135IS plus 550ex flash and assorted cables. I was recommended a Domke f-3x over on POTN, but second opinions are nice!

I love domke bags, but the F5 is probably a better fit, unless you want lots of extra space

i wa using crumpler six million dollar home....fantastic bag. Domkes are not well padded, however they are nice.

Someone with the initials O.N. won the raffle I emailed UE about the winner since I also bought raffle tickets .

But I did take advantage of the 20% off offer & ordered a pair, sent my ear mold impressions in the other day.

You don't need more paddign than a domke has in most situations . When you do, you throw the domke inside a pelican.

I have been looking at a F-3x in sand canvas.. How does the F5 compare in size?

Oh, sorry, brain fart. The F3 is the one you want.

Tom, please keep us posted about how you like the fit when you first get them. I've been meaning to send in my UE-10 for a tweak for a year now, just haven't gotten around to it.

Look what I had for lunch the other day.

Brand new and the first one to open in California happens to be nearby me.

Not really, it's in Carson right near IKEA. About a 20 minute drive.

But there is an In and Out right by the LAX. I know Justin will be there a lot.

LOL, I certainly wasn't expecting that. Now the turf war really begins!

Aarrgh! There's a prize in every box!

Well, it's been 4 weeks since CanJam, so it seems like the perfect time to post my few, mostly lame, pics! I don't know if there is any point to these but I like a couple of them, so here they. Starting with Friday evening setup and barely touching the next two days. I really did not have the time/energy/patience to whip out the camera much this time around. Oh well, thankfully others documented the event quite well.

Justin and N_Maher check out their new gear. Justin's Sony SCD-1 sits next to Nate's Menace amp finished just in time for the Jam. Both performed well.

Another shot of The Menace

Here is philodox's McAllister Massive Attack amp, soon to be departed CDP, and headphone stand. All fine woodworking are compliments of swt61. Great stuff to look at and to listen to, even though the CDP decided it would only play a single CD sometime after I heard it. The Massive Attack, on the other hand, actually survived a cracked PCB and played flawlessly.

One of the few moments outside, while the sun set on the eve of CJ08.

Here is Asr enjoying his new namaanf-built Beta22, while Agile_One posts live from the meet room in the background.

JP#s is getting deep into the music, also on Asr's rig.

Guss2, wife Xenia, daughter Melinda, and "grandpa" Gene having a moment or two on Sunday. Melinda has gone to more Head-Fi meets than many a Supremus!

Speaking of which, here is crappyjones123 who made a splash at his first meet, and who no doubt will press on to Supremus status in no time (after all, grad students have to procrastinate somehow). He fought to get to the meet, he braved the wilds of Gene's and my hotel room, withstood the stevieo onslaught, and can't wait for another meet!

And finally, Pete Millett's USB device that, like Magic Pebbles, just makes things sound better (or at least seem funnier). If you want to see how it works, go here.
