That might be true but as grawk pointed out, I don't think there are 11,000 peaks within a few miles of the beach. Besides, we were talking oceans, not mountains.

Trailhead to Mt. San Gorgonio (11499') really is about 70 minutes from downtown LA assuming no traffic. Of course, no traffic is rare in LA, as it appear to also be in SoFla.

70 miles, LA, 1 hour, lol. We have traffic but I don't think I've ever been in worse traffic than in LA. North Jersey/Bergen County going into the City was pretty bad as well, as I recall.

the only way to go 70 miles in an hour in LA is to be in a helicopter

You can do it considerably faster in a helicopter. Usually you can do it between 9pm and 4 am in a car. Of course, I hate to go to LA too. I rarely do and it's strictly because of the traffic.

Yes im HighLife on there also =)

Awesome, yeaaah to you winning the UE11s...im going to hold you to that =)

However all my camera gear is now Tyrion's...i made him a deal he couldnt refuse. (When the beaver offers you a fish, you TAKE the fish!!)

Then the Monkey stole my money ...... had to have the Headroom millet
