For highest quality: iPod 5G or Creative Zen Touch 40?

I have both, and have not used the 40 in over 3 years. I am sure the battery is dead, but it should run on good old wall power.

Which one of these has the better driver do you think? I listen at my desk a lot.

Zen touch out of the headphone-out, but ipod out of the Line out dock.

ipod 5g has a really nice headphone out. it has sounded great with every headphone i have used with it.

I guess our ears hear things differently then, because every headphone I've used my 5.5 gen or 80 gb classic with, if I don't use a LOD and an amp, sounds subpar.

Well, i have a 5, not a 5.5 if that matters. maybe time to hook up that Touch again. Thanks!
