The changing ads up top make browsing on mobile devices impossible

In addition to the irritating links on the left, which take up half the screen on a mobile device, the scrolling ads make it literally impossible to browse on a mobile device. Every time the ad cycles to the next one, it causes my page to either scroll up or down. You can't even read a post since the ads change every few seconds. You get a seizure trying to read headfi.

I don't know if anything can be done about this, but I won't be renewing my membership if it is not fixed, as I spend equal time browsing headfi on my mobile devices than I do on my computer.

I feel like this is Head-Fi - Yellowpages edition.

What mobile device / browser are you using? It works fine with the iPhone browser.

It certainly isn't all mobile devices. iPod touch/mobile Safari fine.

Agree though on the left ad, less for space (they're suppose to be seen), but simply page draws. Not good web choice there.

It seems strange that a browser would scroll around just because content is updated somewhere on the page. Sounds like it's a defect in the browser to be honest.

The sizing of the ads in the upper right corner is inconsistent, they're served from different locations, etc. The earphonesolutions.com ad seems to cause the most browser trouble. I could easily see the current implementation breaking different browsers.

It happens to both wm5 and wm6 devices browsers. Happens on my Q, my fathers Samsung i760, and my friends HTC Touch.

Browsing on my iPod Touch most of the time, and it's very slow indeed... Compared to other websites..

If you contribute at a certain level, there is an option to turn off the ads. I upped my contribution a few months back and I don't get ads on my mobile devices any longer.

Sixteen thousand posts over 4 years, Erik?! Wow, dude... I'm speechless... I'm sure you must be allowed to do anything now! :-) What does your signature say? I don't get it...
