i actually dont have any headphones that are older than 2 years... but so far, nothing is even slightly damaged at all! they all look like the day when i bought them! =D

Aside from my Stax 003 and KSC75 mine are all between twelve and thirtysomething years old

Depends on the drivers for sure.
Electrostatic drivers, and probably some/most dynamic headphone drivers, don't have any "surrounds on the drivers".

i had.. and sold a pair of beyer headphones in excellent condition to another member.
i believe it was made in the early 80s.

there are examples of the very oldest dome-type dynamic headphones still in use - it's just a matter of how well cared for they are

With some people the lifespan is a few weeks before they sell them. :^)
