sbelonoz, what case is that on your Touch?

there we go.
My old 4gb broke(the power switch at least, so it's not easily usable)so I bought an 8gb one off a head-fi'er.
It came with a Zune theme flash skin, and it's playing Korn unplugged, which sounds GREAT w/X3i's.

Creative Zen --> PA2V2 --> SR80

Any upgrade suggestions?

Is it just my imagination, or is one of the SR 80 buttons gone?

You're right. My friend put the leg of his chair on the headphone! Luckily the only damage was a kinda broken grill, and the loss of a button.
Hm.. is there much danger in opening them up? Maybe I can replace the grill.

Replacing the grills with wire mesh is a nice simple mod. You shouldn't do any damage to the drivers/housing if you open them up carefully, try the methods listed on here:

Hmm.. amping the zen is somewhat redundant! I would get a player with a line out IMO! Nice start with the grados though!

They are very busy at the moment, and really should sort themselves out, and get more people in. Small business + great product + high demand = growing problems!

Nice rig. You wont be spraying your Livewires stock gold connectors black then, or getting them to do it?

PS: Listening to mine now, 128k MP3 through a cheapo dac and dac's amp combo (cant be used just as amp through 3.5mm, USB only) bass is great, crisp and clear, great highs, they have dissapeared, cant feel em, cant hear my annoying sister, result! Worth the wait, seriously.

Shame i have a bad cold. So they dont sound great today, and i cant find a song i fancy
Hi Baines93,

I ordered livewires in same colors as you have in your avatar and I will keep gold connectors as gold, so they would match the black side of earphones Will post the pics as soon as they arrive. Hopefully they fit out of the box, otherwise sending them back and forth and waiting in between is not really what I am looking forward doing.

By the way, taking the impressions in San Francisco bay area was another adventure I had to undertake. The first one I got an appointment at was in San Jose. I called them and asked if they knew what "open mouth impressions" were. I had to mention Ultimate Ears, they also confirmed they knew them. I bet nobody knows Livewires yet, so I had to mention UE. When I arrived, they found out that there were out of silicon, so could not make them. I was upset and had to go back to the hotel. Payed $40 for taxi for nothing. Finally found one in San Mateo and was charged $120. I bet San Mateo is not the cheapest place in the US Perhaps I should not have mentioned UE, because they said "hey we know UE, those guys charge like a 1000 dollars for the earphones!" I then thought I should have mentioned livewires instead

Finally after spending $160 just to make impressions and $300 for livewires, I hope they would fit. Of course if they don't, I will send them back for adjustments, but hell no, I don't want it.

P.S. UE refused to ship via anything but FedEx and also refused to mark down customs value, so no UE11 unless I go to the US again.

Funny you mention that. I got the amp last fall and up till yesterday had honestly not been able to tell a difference. Then I cranked the Zen volume and just kept the amp's volume pretty low--wow! What a difference! It honestly blew me away.

Maybe you're right, but I dig it.
The interconnect is really long though. Do plan on getting something that gets less tangled.
