I remember on Abi, you loved X3's and were sticking with them, then to SE530, now to customs and a pico!
A quick look at his profile would indicate that they're UE11s.

iPod Shuffle 1st Gen -> HeadRoom interconnect -> "Phase Audio" headphone amp -> Ety ER-6

Supposedly, a AAA battery lasts 8 hours. We'll see...

Except for the Shuttle, it all fits in an IEM case.

What this "Phase Audio" headphone amp does? What are the differences it provides?

It looks very compact. I'd like to know more too

It's a headphone amp with no volume control. It is a modified CMOY that runs on a AAA battery. There's a power switch and a "effects" switch. Go this primarily to get my Shuffle or PSP (games) to drive higher impedance phones as the amp is the right size to velcro to the back of the PSP and act like a grip.

However, this amp is proof that not all burn in effects are good. The first couple hours, it sounded fine - for the above-mentioned purposes. It simply acted as an amplifier with a "V"-shaped equalizer emphasizing bass and treble, but without revealing more detail or masking much.

After a few hours of burn-in, the sound signature has changed, where the vocals are distant and there's significant sibilance.

I'm letting it burn in some more to see if the sound will switch again. The original sound signature worked fine for the original intended purpose.

More details of this $25 amp can be found at the website printed on the amp:
Welcome to Ban Leong Bros Website

For now, I wouldn't buy another, unless/until the sibilance goes away. Otherwise, the form factor is great.

Dam, that's one heck of a small amplifier!
Is it any good?

The FiiO and the Xin SuperMicro are smaller (and both are probably better judging by some feedback posted here)

HeadRoom 4 Inch Mini to Mini @ HeadRoom - Right Between Your Ears

I also got a Cardas mini-to-mini interconnect from HeadRoom (they have a variety of them)

I remember when you were discussing your SE530's on Abi before they arrived, and everyone was talking about the rather large cost, now you have bought the $1200 UE-11's haha!

When can i expect a detailed review on the Abi homepage?

I need to compare sound to my Lw's, to see if maybe oneday they will be worth the upgrade to when Lw's are no more, and i am not 15, but 25.

Maybe by then I will have tried lossy vs lossless amped through a very good source, unlike directly through my U Control hp/o, or an amped laptop hp out, unlike when i tried the SM3 through the ZVM's bad l/o and laptop hp/o, then maybe i will hear a bigger difference, have 100mb/s internet, and be able to re-get my whole collection in lossless rather fast, of course everyone will have a need to tag before upload then, and i wont have to do that, then i buy a high end portable amp for u control use or an amp/dac for portable/pc/laptop use, and UE11's, along with a K701/Ad2000/SA5k or something for PC use and gaming, and occasional "I-dont-want-these-things-stuck-in-my-ear-canals" use.

I am no audiophile, i just like good highs, then if possible good bass, and the LW's fit the bill perfecty, totally balanced IMHO, and also the custom-comfort that only we custom users can try to explain to universal users, and sound great with 96k-320k+ bitrates to my ears, although slightly clearer on some songs with the higher bitrates. So how much better can UE11's be for the extra $950 ($1200 to me, complimentary LW's )?
