Pictures of Your Portable Rig [Part XI] - Page 37

Hmm, I like it =3. Don't you?

It's a so called GelaSkin; I had bought the same skin for my Macbook some time ago and decided it would fit my iPod pretty well - especially in combination with my amp. I thought these were rather popular, but much to my suprise, i haven't seen many of them around here or at anythingbutipod =/.

Yes, this was an original intent of this mod. I did not like several things on iGrado like limited usability of neckband, lack of comfort and portability (they are not foldable). I did not like the lack of portability of SR-225 also. So I put iGrado drivers onto the SportaPro headband (I was not brave enough to take SR225 to pieces).

Gals and girls, let me introduce

SportaGrado !

It looks good enough to wear on public:

It is convertible to neckband mode, which is quite comfortbale with large Grado Comfies:

And it is foldable for better portability. When folded, it is just a bit bigger than KSC-75:

This mod is also possible with PortaPro headband which has less clamping force. Nevertheless, both headbands are bendable, so you may shape them for better comfort, like I did with the Sporta headband.

Have you made a tutorial thread for the grips and headband grips kostalex? If not, I think it is a good time for one!

My new silver NW-HD5!!!

...and I am still not done filling it up!!!

BTW, the "genres" are named after all of my previous Hi-MD's ("Bell Bottom Glory" [70's FM classic rock], "The Acid Journey" [60's FM classic rock], "The Smooth Groove" [smooth and classic jazz], etc.), and this is the only way I can distinguish the different groups of artists rather than just using generic genre terms, as that would get real confusing for me, after all I now can put up to 20 gigs on one unit as opposed to carrying 20 1GB Hi-MD's along with my Hi-MD units.

The only thing I don't like about HDD as opposed to Hi-MD is that you are limited to whatever you have on the player as opposed to having all the versatility ("AA" battery capability/swappability, radio remote compatibility [with the MZ-NHF800 or NH700] trading, swapping between MD/Hi-MD, recording live on-field, etc.) in the world like you do with MiniDisc and Hi-MD.

Haha nice, Captain!

This isn't a new rig, but I just wanted to post pics of a rig binding solution. I know a lot of members here use velcro, or tape, or rig bags, or silicone wrist bands.

Found this Dell AC Adapter strap the other day and noted the flat button fastener and adjustability. Pretty good solution (sorry guys I don't have another amp - this is just a demonstration of the strap haha.)

And...blasphemy!!

Don't sell the Sony for a Cowon D2!!!!! The Sony is a great player. Beats the new ones imo still in size, looks and price!!!

I suggest you upgrade your earbuds. Those standard Sony's are good compared to other standard packed-in buds but you could do wayyyyyy better.
