Here is my new rig and I quite enjoy it.

Sony S615 with JVC HA-FX66 (Air Cushions)



Any opinons are welcome. And well I'm glad there are mow Sony DAP's out there.

The sound quality seems pretty good and there's a custom EQ and various presets. I don't really have much experience with other players to compare it to. The dock also has a line out port on it. I've never used the line out (no amp), but I guess you could get even better sound out of it.

I've heard that Rockbox does reduce the battery life compared to the standard firmware though. Overall, it's really nice with lots of customization options.

I would say the only negative of the player itself is the crosspad, which isn't that responsive (there's not really any kind of tactile feedback that it registered a button press), but I can live with it.

I almost got the ha-fx66's but I got the fx55's. I like them though.

Well to be honest at first I did not like the 66's. Although after about 50 hours or so of burn in these things relly shine.
