I didn't know it was possible for those silver wires to oxidize. Aren't they supposed to be oxygen free cables? Or am I just completely wrong here?

My ue superfi5pros cable did the same, they turned into green, thats oxidization. I talked to ue and they told me its not a problem, it wont effect the sound or anything.

Doesn't change anything but it's unacceptable from a company who charges 1150$ for ue11's.

Ah yes, but the cable itself is worth only $30-$40 of that. You are paying the thousand for the drivers unfortunately.

If it is that cheap, surprised they just don't send you a new one then for what you pay in the end for the UE11s. Regardless on how they are supposed to function, they are clearly not meant to turn green as a feature.
