I bet you can't find this...

Hey, I'm looking for a digital copy (DVD or computer download) of an old PBS-Nova special called "Trillion Dollar Bet" (originally aired on February 8th 2000). It's on financial theory and LTCM. Thus far, I've only found it on used VHS for $99 on Amazon. I'd prefer a digital version.

If you find it, I'll give you a doughnut.

Good news: I found it...

Bad news: it is in Demonoid (private torrent site), and there is only one seeder; it will probably take ages (as in, a week or so) to fully download it at this rate.

OP said digital copy, not VHS.

And I was keeping the download on my uTorrent backburner, but I got rid of it, since the OP hasn't responded for awhile.

Thanks MarchingMule....I have a Mac and have never used torrents. Is there anyway to have someone send me a completed (non-torrent) version without causing inconvenience?

How soon do you need it?

In a week....but really, I don't want to bother you.

Does UPS do next day delivery for a doughnut?

Well, that took about 10 seconds, do you have RapidShare?

Wow you guys are good. A number of you have PMed me about RapidShare. Looks like we're gonna have a doughnut party.

Next question: I have a Mac and usually just use iTunes... How do I play .rar files ?
rar files are compressed archives of other files (in this case, a video of a trillion dollar bet).

First you need to download all seven files to the same folder. You then need a program to unrar the files. Since I've never used a mac, I'm not sure what the corresponding application is (WinRAR is the windows app). After extraction, you should be left with an .avi file. Use vlc media player (VLC media player - Overview) to open it, iTunes is no good.

Cheers

Just download UnRAR for Mac, uncompress the files and use VLC to play it.
