I loved these buds to bits, they were the perfect everyday headphone. Small and light and comfortable and barely protruded past the outside of your ears. I like the fact that no one can really...
These and the PL30 are terrible quality buds, I went through both of them in less than 8 months. Both times they failed they left me in an awkward position where I really needed earbuds for...

K701's were a huge disappointment for me. They aren't very comfortable, they dont sound that good, IMO they are just another pair of headphones. I was expecting much more from the new flagship headphone of the same brand that brought us the K340's and the K1000's which I absolutely love (both). I really do hope the K702 will sound better and maybe be a bit more comfortable.
That's of course just my opinion so no need jumping about it

hmm... I personally thought that the K701 were amazing in terms of comfort, it doesnt press down on my head / clamp my ears too much... the pads were pretty nice to the touch.
Well I was interested in gettings 701s, good thing I waited. Looks like I will be trying to get a hold of a pair of 702s if I dont give in and buy the D5000s before.
The K701 has been a hugely successful seller for AKG, if this K702 thing is true, I would imagine that they'll sound exactly the same and have a slight change in the plastic moulding style. Or perhaps have a duel entry cord.
Minor facelift to match a change in available parts or a design change made to cut costs in construction while maintaining the same sound.
Senn haven't felt the need to do anything like this with the HD650 and Stax took 10 years of criticisms of the faults of the SR-007 for the Mk.2, so it will be interesting to see what particular differences in non-cosmetic terms there are for this K702.
