I've been a fan of the iMod for a while. But I have noticed that I don't benefit from it greatly when I'm on the go, which is when I mostly use it. So instead of carrying the extra baggage, I thought I would find a more portable mp3 player that I will mate with my Go-Vibe 5.
I have abandoned my plans to go with the Lisa III and I am settling for a home headphone amp because of this. I figure that since I already have the Go-Vibe, rather than sell it (since the re-sale value is so low), I might as well put it to use.
I know the iPod doesn't excel in setups like this. The iMod is wonderful, but I do not wish to subject it to outside use. So far, I have heard that the Sandisk Clip has great SQ. I need about 30GB with FLAC support, and the addition of ReplayGain support would be incredible. The Sandisk View has the storage capacity for this, but doesn't have a RockBox firmware for it, nor am I sure if it has the same SQ performance as the Clip.
So I turn to you guys on this. Do you have any suggestions for me?
