Random question: Can you run foobar on MAC?
You can with crossover office, parallels or vmware fusion.

I prefer iTunes. But there are a handful other decent audio players out there.
Cog, Play, Songbird to name a few.

quick q

does itunes look the same on the mac as the pc? cause i just hate it so much

the coverflow on the iphone is useful cause its a small screen but on the laptop i really like wmp 11 as it can display about 60 to 70 albums or aa]rtists on the screen at once, for this reason alone i havent been able to find any other playes, i tunes i find is one of the worst, at least on pc

Keep in mind you don't have to use/display CoverFlow. It's only there if you want it. iTunes though is very different than WMP (which is my least favorite of the majors). iTunes looks the same on both platforms, though much more extensible on OS X. Run through Doug's Applescripts for one example. I use SlimServer/SqueezeCenter as much as iTunes, but I think the latter is an excellent organizer especially on the Mac (tag manipulation on that platform eliminates most file tree advantages and keeps all the DB ones).

I dont mind Itunes at all. Its easy to use and looks clean and neat. I never understood why people hate it so much.

Some people prefer their software to be overly complicated and hard to use

Some call Mac and osx dumbed down i like to refer to it as less micro
managing to get the job done.

OSX is hardly dumbed down. The terminal window gives you access to anythign you'd want. BSD FTW.

Simply less steps in your typical workflow.

I think I am going to wait until june for the rumored revision of the Macbook and Macbook pro.
I want one really bad, but I can wait because I wont REALLY need it until my fall semester starts.

But baby as soon as that comes out... mmmmhh im going to be mac'n it big time. Cant wait.

Same goes with the Iphone. Rumor has it Iphone with 3g + sum other stuff with be out around then. I plan to get that also as my palm treo is just clunky, outdated, and boring.
