Some questions about Beyerdynamic DT250-80

Luckily, I've heard these headphones. I think the sound great. Very natural and good, deep bass.

The only complaint I had was the bass was a little quiet: it was good, but not very powerful. When I heard these it was out of a dap.

Does the bass, and the headphones in general, sound better with an amp? I really liked the headphones out of an iPod, just the bass was a little weak.

better? yes, but these cans are not for bassheads.

Well, I don't know if I'm a "basshead," but I thought that the excellent bass on these cans was pretty weak volume-wise....

Spookily enough I've just sold the 250 ohm version of these phones and they have a nice ballanced sound. The problem with the 80 ohm version is they are not much more efficient than the 250 ohm version, despite what the figures may suggest. These phones do need to be amped to get the best out of.
