ANyone here make/sell mini-optical to optical cable?

Hey, I was wondering if anyone sold mini optical to optical cables here because I am looking to hook up my iMac to my DAC with optical input.

Just thought I would check here first to see if I could help support the businesses and work of fellow headfiers before i go to the store.

i'm not aware of any head-fier or mot whose selling one, but i just bought one the other day from fry's. cost me about $12. both ends have mini connectors. already tried it with the ae and dac. seems to work just fine.

I don't think anyone really builds optical cables. I think it's impractical from a DIY standpoint because of the complexity of the cables. I could be wrong, but I don't think I've ever seen the more complex cables being done on a DIY level (optical is the only one I can think of audio-wise offhand, but HDMI/s-video/etc are also not really done on a DIY level)

You can get the Mini adapter at any Radio Shack for about $5.
