seeking advice: which CIA power supply?

hi, loving my two squeezeboxes - one runs into a channel islands audio dac, the other goes analog. the one on the bigger system has a bolder elpac powering it. sounds nice!
my question is: should I get the new channel islands power supply for the other squeezebox? or their power supply for their dac? what would the difference be, and which would, erm, make more of a difference?

I would help if I could, but I'm debating the same decision myself. I can tell you that adding the upgrade powersupply was worth the money for my amp. I have my doubts about how much it benefits the DAC, but then again there is more to that component than just the digtal > analog conversion itself. It is outputting an anlog signal when all is done so the quality of the power supply and overall power design will have an impact.

well, the VAC is here, and I'm still getting into a few tracks to tease out any differences. curious also about the RAL power umbilical cable that some people are praising for the combo. would appreciate some head-fi opinionating...
