Is the Iaudio A3 a good buy?

I read all about the A2 and how it compares to the A3 in terms of only how the battery lasts longer for the A2.
So is that the only difference? The video and audio quality are still decent and it is reasonably portable.

If anyone has an A3, what else does it come with in its package? like a case and what else.

Just trying to get ready for the summer as i will be doing alot of sightseeing.

The main difference is the screen resolution. A3 allows you to output component video. Video is beautiful on this. It's really nice to be able to just drag and drop videos onto it and play them without having to convert first.

No case was included with mine. There is a photo here of what's included. Mine did come with a short USB host cable for connecting to other devices like card reader or camera to copy files to the A3.

"Portable" means different things to different people. Yes, it's portable in that you can easily carry it with you, especially if you plan to put it in a bag or backpack. It will fit in your pocket, but I don't think you would normally carry it around in a pocket. It's fairly large and heavy for that.

Thanks for the reply.

the problem is the battery life, around 10 for audio and 5 for video,

now if you want it for video, its at disadvantage against the archos 605 wifi, which for the price of the A3 60gb, you can get a 160gb 605 wifi,

but if you want it for music, the 605 suffers from horrible sound quality, and the A3 just crushes it, but then again, if you want it for music, look for a A2,

I suggest if you want it for music buy a more portable music player (with longer battery life) that also does video. The A3 is hard to beat for video quality though.

I'd stick to the A3 just cuz of the video mostly, audio can come in 2nd
