HUB USB with switch ?

Hi, my new cable TV decoder have a USB output, i want to use it with my Cantate DAC, ia asked Jam Meier and he said
"In an USB-connection one device is acting as a "master" (normally the PC) and the other one is acting as a "slave".The CANTATE can only work as "slave". Most probably the same
applies for your decoder and therefore it is very unlikely
that you're able to connect the two."

So i wonder if there is a way to tweak that using a HUB USB with switch ? so i can select to use either my PC with USB or my cable TV decoder USB, that make sense ?

Nope, it's a device issue. Unless you actually reprogram the whole device somehow, the USB port on the TV decoder would remain as a slave device.
