Now that Sony has releases the 82X series players the 81X series has dropped significantly. If you want great sound without the larger screen then the 81X series is defintely one of the best DAPs out there:

Sony NWZ-A818 $169.97

If you want the bigger screen, but do not need bluetooth, then the 72X series is on sale too:

Sony NWZ-A728 $189.99

I NWZ-820 at Best Buys right now is $179.99. Use it with the 10% off discount coupon and your total after tax is $175. Of course you could use it for the 818 and the total will be $165...but I'd spend the extra 10 bucks and buy the new one with a bigger screen.

I got mine months ago for about $187. I believe that the fact that prices didn't drop much further even when the model has been replaced speaks a lot about the players quality and its demand.

I returned this player as I didn't like the Rhapsody icon in the upper right corner (the A818 had a clock icon and the A829 has the bluetooth icon). Now that I have gone back to my A818 I find that I really do miss the new Sony DAP's larger screen.

Worked for me(I stopped short of buying it though). Add it to your cart, do your name thing,next screen there's a space for a coupon. put in WALKMAN40, and it deducts $40. Has to be on the overstock one though, won't work if you're trying it on refurbished.

Note: It's only good until April 10

Just to clarify, the coupon code is for amazon? At that price, I'm very interested in giving the sony DAPs a try. Does Amazon ship that outside the states?

The code is for Sony Style USA | Sony VAIO® Computers | Sony Consumer Electronics, only for the A818 on clearance (not refurbished). I don't know if it works at amazon.com.
