oooh ooooh CHEEBURGER CHEEBURGER!!!

kickass burgers. they have the legendary pounder which if you finish you get a picture taken with a giant plastic burger and you go on their wall. and if you eat it more than once you go on their repeated offenders wall!

i must say, with much pride, i have conquered the pounder 3 times.

make sure you dont have anything planned for about 3 hours after eating the pounder (if you dont wuss out and eat one of the wussy burgers) since you wont be able to move even an inch. but they taste AMAZING

It's in the same mall called Beach Place on A1A. I thought it was associated with LuLu's. I've never been there but heard from others.

people go to Le Tub for the best damn burger in the USA. It's old school and a bit on the funky side and you will wait 45 minutes for a damn hamburger but what a burger it is, yum.
I'll probably be making a run sometime saturday or sunday

While I am definitely going I can not go Saturday or Sunday during the day as I will be helping Mike run the meet but if people are up for a Friday lunch that is possible

The Floridian on Las Olas gets a lot of mentions in reviews of Fort Lauderdale.

Being open 24/7 might come in handy for Can Jam

Any locals care to comment?

las olas is ok...it is open 24 hours a day but it is overrun by drunk college kids who tend to be rather annoying for a few people (like myself). no harm in checking it out though. lots of clubs there...martini bar for those of you who like martinis.

Touristy area laid out for shopping, eating, and more shopping....oh, and drunk college kids.

The Floridian has been around forever. My wife and I go there on occasion for breakfast after our long runs on Saturday morning by the beach. It's a good breakfast joint. Las Olas is a lot of shopping leaning towards the upscale. There are a bunch of good restaurants along the way.
